Alert Level 2 Update

Hi there With the country moving into Alert Level 2 from this Thursday 14 May, what does this mean for the Farm Vets team? It means we'll be "back to usual business hours" but still following the guidelines provided by the Ministry of Health regarding good hygiene practices and social distancing (both in the clinic and out on farm). The safety of both our staff and clients is still very much a high priority until we're advised that COVID-19 has run its course. What are the "usual" business hours? For the Gisborne team (068688616), the clinic is open: 7am-5pm Monday to Friday and 9am-12noon Saturdays (from this Saturday) For the Wairoa team (068383832), the clinic is open: 8am-5pm Monday to Friday and 9am-12noon Saturdays (from this Saturday) The doors will be open and you'll be welcome to enter the clinic (and drive through in Gisborne) for any product pickups. Please feel free to still phone ahead for any product orders, we're happy to get these ready for your arrival. We can also put product out in the lockbox if you're collecting outside of these hours. What are we doing? A lot of the Ministry of Health guidelines from Level 4 still apply.

  • In both clinics, you will see extra hand sanitisers - these are for both us and you to use as often as you see fit.

  • There are also signs that we've put up showing symptoms and providing information - please have a quick read of these in case any of these resonate with you.

  • We are focusing on ensuring high touch surfaces such as EFTPOS terminals, counters, door handles and seats are cleaned regularly with a special disinfectant.

  • There will be a book at reception to note down your details (name, date, time) to keep track of who enters the premises which will assist with contact tracing if needed.

  • We have also been communicating with our staff around hygiene, staying home if unwell and to keep social distance as much as possible.

What can you do? Please help us to keep you all safe and well. If you aren’t well or are in self-isolation, please stay home. If you are well and visiting the clinic, please feel free to do so and please follow the hygiene practices we have put in place by maintaining physical distancing and using the hygiene products provided. We're happy to have your order ready for your arrival - please give us a call beforehand. Supply Chain - update Our suppliers have done a fabulous job of keeping us updated regularly and ensuring stock has been readily available. We have not been advised of any major supply concerns. Thank You Once again, we want to thank you for your understanding and co-operation while we all navigate through this unprecedented situation. It certainly has meant a different approach to business for a lot of us and we appreciate your patience. Thank you also for your own efforts in helping us and all other New Zealanders prevent the spread of COVID-19 any further. If you have any queries please give us a shout. As always, we're only a phone call away. Cheers, The Farm Vets team
